Chief Morale Officer

A silly role for a very unsilly reason

For a number of complex reasons, The Ross Practice has high staff attrition rates. But despite this, it is a wonderful tight knit team of people who, in some cases, have known each other for decades.

With the help of my elf (one of our secretaries) I give out gifts as Santa at Christmas, I am a bunny with eggs at Easter and on Valentines I give out roses with notes from everyone’s number one admirer: “Ross”.

Anyone who has worked in a GP surgery knows that moments of levity are so important for teambuiding and keeping a positive outlook even when our roles are challenging.

This role was largely started as a joke but has now become a part of life at Ross and I hope will continue on long after I leave.
